Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
And the winner of the costume contest is Brittany’s dog Momo! I received so many amazing entries, but finally chose Momo because it looks like you just dressed up an Ewok as an Ewok for Halloween, and I can’t stop laughing. Look at that face! I’m dying! This has been the hardest decision of my life (maybe), and I will be sharing some of the other amazing entries soon. Hurrah for Halloween!
Listen, I know I’ve been slacking the past couple weeks. And these are important weeks! Halloween! I HAVE TO GET IT TOGETHER! So here’s what I’m proposing:
2nd ANNUAL WELL THAT’S ADORABLE COSTUME CONTEST
- Isn’t it a little late?
No way! Costumes are always fun and awesome.
- What do I do?
Find amazing, adorable, fantastic pictures of animals wearing costumes! (Please give photo credit when you can)
- Where do I send them?
wellthatsadorable @ gmail . com
- When’s the deadline?
November 4th! The winning picture will be posted November 5th!
- What does the winner get?
Will be posted on the website on November 5th, and will also receive a copy of the adorably hilarious and dark Breaking Bad News with Baby Animals by Ben Schwartz and Amanda McCall.
- Do you have any tips?
Sure! Photo quality and lighting are important, so bring your dinosaur dog into a well lit room before snapping a picture. Adorable/funny/amazing costume and pet reaction is important too. Bonus points for sending pictures of your own pet, and not something you found online. Also bonus points for homemade costumes!
- Who won last year?
The adorable Mochi! I will also be posting other submissions from last year until the winner is chosen.
- Will this be the best?
Oh hell yes!
(Thanks to Lisa H. for sending me the incredible link where this pic came from)
Happy Halloween (a day late, oops)!! I’m happy to introduce you to the winner of Well That’s an Adorable Contest, Mochi! I was overwhelmed with tons of adorable photos and had the hardest time choosing a winner, but finally settled on this photo because I’m having a heart attack right now. I mean, Jesus Christ, look at how adorable she is! She’s just chilling out, no big deal, and I’m over here tearing my hair out because I can’t hug her in this adorable outfit. Look at that goddamn chipmunk hat! I’m dying! I have to stop typing before I throw my computer out the window.
Congrats Mochi, and congrats to her owner Lauren O! And to everyone else who entered, my sincerest thanks for making this decision so hard. I will be posting a few runners-up this week, there’s no way I can keep all this to myself.
Here’s a reminder of the awesome prize you could win if you enter Well That’s An Adorable Contest. Breaking Bad News with Baby Animals by Amanda McCall and Ben Schwartz!
THIS DOG IS DRESSED AS YOSHI. YOU BETTER STEP UP YOUR HALLOWEEN COSTUMES, WORLD, THE BAR HAS BEEN FUCKING RAISED.
(Don’t forget, tomorrow is the last day to enter the Halloween contest! DO IT!) (via)
Have you entered the contest yet? Get on it, yo! You know you can do better than this guy, who’s dressed like… breakfast or some shit? Get on it! Email me the cutest pictures you can find of animals in costumes: wellthatsadorable@gmail.com
That’s right, it’s a contest! What would October be without pictures of animals wearing costumes? Garbage, is what it would be.
What to do: Find the greatest pictures of animals wearing costumes that exist! (Also give photo credit when you can)
Send them to: wellthatsadorable@gmail.com
Deadline: October 30th!
The winning picture: Will be posted on the website on Halloween, and will also receive a copy of the adorably hilarious and dark Breaking Bad News with Baby Animals by Ben Schwartz and Amanda McCall
Runners-up: Will also be posted to the blog.
Tips: The costume is important, as is the adorable animal’s reaction to it, but photo quality and lighting are really important too (as always). Of course, the most important quality is how much the photo will give me a heart attack because it’s so cute.
Ready set GO!
